Masterbatch is a kind of plastic additive used in the production of plastic products, its main function is plastic products coloring, defoaming and cost reducing, as well as achieving certain special functions and uses of plastic products, such as: corrosion resistance, UV resistance, antistatic, anti-aging, fragrance, flow pattern and so on.
The composition of color masterbatch: inorganic/organic pigments/dyes + Synthetic Resin (PE/PP) + Dispersant (PE Wax ) + Various additives

1. It helps to maintain the chemical stability of pigments:
When the pigment is used directly, due to its exposure in the air, the pigment will undergo water absorption and oxidation during the storage and use. When it's made into color masterbatch, the resin carrier separates the pigment from the air and moisture, and the quality of the pigment can be maintained for a long period of time.
2. It promotes better dispersion of pigment in the product
In the production process of masterbatch, the pigment must be refined to improve the dispersibility and coloring power. The carrier of the special color masterbatch is the same as the plastic product material, with good matching. After heating and melting, the pigment particles can be well dispersed in the plastic product.
