The 15 best white sand beaches in the UK have been uncovered, with Kynance Cove in Cornwall ranking first.

In order to find the brightest places, they analyzed the sand color of 50 British beaches, paying special attention to the tone and texture.

Although Kynance Cove ranks first, Appletree Bay in the Isles of Scilly ranks second, with white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue. The third place went to St Ives in Cornwall, followed by Studland Bay and the beautiful Bournemouth in Dorset. "Finding the whitest and brightest beaches in the UK means you will be able to find the perfect location for a beach holiday in the UK this summer," Parkdean Resorts said. "By analyzing the shadows of the top 50 beaches in the UK, we were able to rank the beaches according to their shades and help us determine the top 15 whitest beaches in the UK so that you can find the best holiday destinations for summer."
