COAS emphasizes the need for technical upgrades during the POF visit

Rawalpindi: Chief of Staff of the Army (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa (Qamar Javed Bajwa) visited Pakistan Order Factory (POF) Wah on Wednesday, according to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) press release.

In a speech to POF workers and officers, the Chief of Staff of the Army emphasized the need for technology upgrades and maximum localization to achieve complete self-reliance in the field of defense production. 

General Bajwa also appreciated the valuable contributions of workers and officers in making POF a major defense industry in Pakistan.

The Chief of Staff of the Army praised the contribution of POF to the national economy and emphasized the need to improve the business model and the importance of core business excellence to keep up with contemporary challenges.

Upon arrival, COAS Gen Bajwa listened to a detailed introduction about the performance and growth of POF, research and development projects, future vision and implementation strategies.

Gen Bajwa has also opened a number of facilities, including a Urea Formaldehyde Molding Compound (UFMC) factory, a station headquarters building, and POF colony Sanjwal, which will benefit more than 11,000 families.

The UFMC factory is one of many POF production facilities, which can not only meet the needs of the defense sector, but also meet the needs of the country's civil industry.

MODP Secretary, Lieutenant General Ijaz Chaudhry and POF Wah Chairman Lieutenant General Umar Farooq Durrani and other senior civilian and military officials attended the meeting.
