COAS Bajwa visited POF and opened the urea-formaldehyde molding compound factory

Rawalpindi: According to ISPR, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Staff of the Army (COAS), visited Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF) Wah and Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) on Wednesday.

According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) reports, COAS opened a Urea Formaldehyde Molding Compound (UFMC) plant at the Huanobel Chemical Plant. The project was completed in eight months.

This new plant is equipped with the latest and most economical silver catalyst technology, which will reduce production costs. COAS also visited the POF exhibition center where new defense products were displayed.

COAS emphasizes that the management of POF takes a proactive approach to establish joint ventures with foreign and private sectors and to diversify its product range.

ISPR added that COAS appreciates the efforts and contributions made by POF and HIT in manufacturing national defense and security equipment that meets international standards, making national defense capabilities strong and self-reliant, and saving national finances.
