XYZprinting sales director John Calhoun will establish an expanded strategic alliance with BASF Forward AM and more industrial materials

The new high-performance SLS printer MfgPro236 xS brings the best SLS platform for performance and value

Taipei, September 10, 2021/PRNewswire/ - Earlier this year, XYZprinting and BASF Forward AM established a successful partnership, which is now implemented in all 3D printing product portfolios. Francois Minec, Managing Director of BASF 3D Printing Solutions, said: "The enhanced cooperation between XYZprinting and BASF Forward AM will enable industrial users of various additive manufacturing technologies to benefit from our high-performance materials, combined with the XYZprinting solution—— For prototyping or direct manufacturing."

XYZprinting will be exhibited at Rapid TCT 2021 from September 13th to 15th at McCormick Place, Lakeside Center, Hall E/Booth #E7021. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to find more information about the new high-power SLS printer MfgPro236 xS SLS, including printed samples of Ultrasint® PA11 carbon fiber and Ultrasint® PA6 mineral-filled powder from BASF Forward AM. North American sales director John Calhoun said: "Compared with other black SLS materials, these materials have a huge advantage because they do not require post-processing. Of course, they also provide first-class mechanical properties."

XYZprinting MfgPro236 xS SLS printer: XYZprinting has released the new MfgPro236 xS laser sintering system and is expanding its industrial-grade system. The new MfgPro236 xS allows a build volume of 230x230x250mm and is designed to meet the demanding requirements of aerospace, automotive, manufacturing and engineering companies. MfgPro236 xS comes with an open material platform option, making it an ideal choice for on-demand manufacturers, research institutions and third-party material suppliers to be part of this ecosystem.

The materials exhibited by Rapid TCT include:

New mineral-filled advanced PA6 MF SLS material on MfgPro236 xS:

BASF Forward AM Ultrasint® PA6 MF (XYZ sPro6MF powder) mechanically reinforced PA6, using intragranular filler technology, used for extremely strong parts

Ultrasint® PA6 MF is one of the premier engineering grade production materials for any 3D printing platform. For demanding technical applications that require mechanically enhanced thermoplastic quality, Ultrasint® PA6 MF is the material of choice. In addition to reinforced PA6, which is a commonly used engineering material for high-load components, Ultrasint® PA6 MF also has extremely high rigidity, media tightness and enhanced thermal deformation-the limitations that other powder bed fusion materials often exhibit. Therefore, it represents an important step forward for additive-based mass production. (Note: Ultrasint® PA6 MF is not available on HP and 3DSYS.)

BASF Forward AM Ultrasint® PA11 Black Ultrasint® PA11 is a bio-derived powder material suitable for advanced applications where toughness is important.

Ultrasint® PA11 Black from BASF Forward AM is a bio-based material (castor oil) and an interesting alternative to PA12. This material exhibits great elongation at break, elasticity and impact resistance in parts. Typical applications include high-deformation environments (such as film hinges) and/or specific conditions (such as chemicals, detergents, oils). Due to its strong ductility, it will not break in most collision situations. Ultrasint® PA11 Black can be used for skin contact applications. This first-class SLS material is now available for XYZprinting MfgPro230 xS and MfgPro236 xS.

New medium-viscosity photosensitive resin material on XYZprinting PartPro120 xP:

BASF Forward AM Ultracur3D® RG 35 rigid resin has the best combination of strength, stiffness and temperature resistance

Ultracur3D® RG (Rigid Product Line) is a medium-viscosity, highly reactive photopolymer that can be used to produce rigid multi-purpose parts in 3D printing applications. It is best used to create high-performance functional components. The parts produced by this resin have low water absorption, excellent UV aging properties and biocompatibility.

BASF Forward AM Ultracur3D® ST 45 multi-purpose resin with the best toughness and processing speed

Ultracur3D® ST (Tough Product Line) is a low-viscosity, highly reactive photopolymer that can be used to produce tough, multi-purpose parts in 3D printing applications. Ultracur3D® ST meets the demanding requirements of practical applications in terms of high precision, mechanical strength and biocompatibility, while existing 3D printing materials usually have limitations.
